The bar is not a restaurant, purely a bar; however first-rate, high quality sandwiches will always be available. Such includes smoked Applewood Cheddar with or without French ham, and (optionally) pickled gherkins, sliced red onion or Branston Pickle, all served on the best bread we can source within 50 miles, which includes ciabatta and/or sourdough bread from Bude’s renowned Electric Bakery, Bideford’s Appledore Bakery and Exeter’s Boatyard Bakery.,
On Thursday evenings after the 9 holes Stableford competition there will be either hot burgers (sourced from a local butcher, Honey’s of Parkham) or hot roasted chicken buns (with optional piri-piri sauce).
Only truly good wine is served here; it’s nothing like the vinegary stuff served by many pubs. We major on wonderful wines sourced from Portugal and supplied by Laithwaites.
The choice of beers is truly splendid! Pale ales, porters and stouts; sourced from craft brewers as well as larger ones, we only stock truly exceptional beers. At present all will be either bottles or cans until draught beer becomes practicable.
